Sacred Art and Holy Creativity
Bring your spiritual practice to life with a creative approach.
Paramhansa Yogananda called our relationship with God “A Divine Romance”. When we cultivate our sense of connection and intimacy with God, we find we can flow in a beautiful ‘dance’ with the Divine.
Come light the fire of your deep devotion through sacred music and dance, poetry and pastels…
Paramhansa Yogananda called our relationship with God “A Divine Romance”. When we cultivate our sense of connection and intimacy with God, we find we can flow in a beautiful ‘dance’ with the Divine.
Experience a sweet inner communion through sacred art and holy creativity. The decoration of the temple, the stringing of flower garlands, our songs , poems and prayers- these simple expressions have been used throughout the centuries as tools to cultivate our love of God. Of course great art uplifts us, but it is also the doing of art- regardless of talent- that allows us to feel God’s presence.
In the art studio you will play with sacred music, movement, poetry and pastels. You will learn how to feel the presence of God flowing through your own creative expression.
Friday night you will learn how to ‘sing to God’ in a devotional kirtan. Saturday night there will be a very special celebration in the Temple of Light- “Guru Purnima”, a traditional Indian festival that honors our spiritual teachers and gurus. Here you’ll experience the beauty of sacred music, dance, story and ritual.
Discover how sweet the life of spirit can be!~
