Join us for a week of Exuberant Creative and Artistic Celebration! 

     Throughout this week artists, musicians and dancers will present sparkling moments of joy, inspiration and beauty… &  you will also have the opportunity to enjoy your own creative self expression!

     Live art demonstrations, dance & music concerts, kirtan & music jams, theatrical events + classes in painting, clay, collage & more…

     During this week you will experience the tangible POWER of the ARTS  to open your heart, raise your energy, and uplift your consciousness! 

Daily special events at the Academy include demonstrations by artists who are exhibiting in the gallery, fabulous concerts of music and dance plus impromptu improvisational music, theater, poetry, dance, etc.  You will also have the opportunity to dabble, play and explore for yourself!  Every day there will be drop in classes in a wide variety of creative modalities.  [No talent or artistic experience is necessary!] 

On Wednesday night there will be an Art Reception for the Exhibition in the Gallery.

View the inspiring work of artists from around the world who are using the visual arts to touch the heart, stir the soul and uplift the spirit.  Meet and talk with some of the artists who have dedicated their lives to channeling Divine wisdom and beauty.  Live music and a special dance performance make this an evening to relish.

Thursday Night you’ll enjoy a choir concert in the Temple of Light

Featuring  the music of Swami Kriyananda, founder of Ananda world brotherhood communities, you will hear some of Ananda’s finest singers and musicians.  Kriyananda wrote music that is intentionally designed to positively effect your consciousness.  This “JOYFUL ARTS FESTIVAL” is in honor of Swami Kriyananda’s legacy and his powerful message about the power of the Arts to uplift human consciousness.

 On Friday night there will be a SEVEN CHAKRA DANCE- 

moving energy from the roots of your Body to the Crown of our Being. 

We start with tribal drumming to rouse the energy of the root chakra, moving upward through the soft and sensuous 2nd chakra,  heroic music activates our 3rd chakra while heart opening and expansive music touches the 4th, at the 5th chakra we add sounding and toning, moving upward to the sattvic sacred music that opens the 6th chakra. We end in a period of stillness and silence at the 7th…a profound experience!

On Saturday night you will enjoy a wonderful theatrical performance

 A simple story, ‘The Jewel in the Lotus’  directed by Candida Di Bonaventura, conveys a powerful message about the nature of life and the spiritual path.

**On the following Wednesday evening during Spiritual Renewal week the Academy will host its annual fundraiser – an “Evening of Enchantment”. Enjoy a delicious desert while you are serenaded by world-class musicians and entertained with beautiful dance, poetry and snippets of theater.
